Nina is a music & culture curator, creative strategist, educator/researcher, DJ and radio broadcaster.
Nina’s work includes diverse residencies and partnerships in DJing, curation, music journalism and industry speaking engagements. She frequently hosts discussions and panels covering topics including music career paths, strategies for independent artists, creative entrepreneurship, and the history of dance music. She also broadcasts for the award-winning radio station Resonance 104.4 FM.
Throughout the years, Nina has been joined by guests such as; Laurent Garnier, Juan Atkins, Claudio Simonetti (Goblin), Lena Platonos, Dr Susan Rogers, Andrew Weatherall, Daniel Miller, Kate Simko, Georgia Taglietti (Association of Electronic Music), Antonia Folguera (Sonar+D), Enric Palau (Sonar.es). and many more.
Nina brings a rich background as a music & culture creative strategist with extensive experience orchestrating campaigns for artists, music events, festivals, and record labels. Currently, she spearheads Content/Editorials & Marketing efforts at shesaid.so; a global community of music industry professionals and creatives whose mission is to make our industry equitable for all through education, mentoring programs, events, curated job opportunities and editorial content.
Nina has had long-lasting media collaborations with high-profile festivals such as Sònar and Primavera Sound and has worked with organisations such as We are Europe, Brighter Sound, British Council, Sound City Festival, PRS Foundation, Keychange and the University of Liverpool, In addition, she has led panels and events involving promoters and collectives such as Horse Meat Disco, Meat Free and Dalston Superstore.
Nina is a board member of The Liverpool City Region Music Board.
Since 2016, Nina has been active in Liverpool's electronic music scene, performing as a DJ at various venues including Constellations, Meraki, 24 Kitchen Street, Kazimier Garden, and Invisible Wind Factory. She has also participated in festivals and lineups with collectives such as Melodic Distraction and Up It Up.
In 2021, Nina served as a mentor to musicians and music industry professionals with shesaid.so’s UK North Chapter. Additionally, in 2022, she was a Keychange mentor.
Nina is an independent scholar who occasionally serves as a visiting lecturer and mentor to early-career music professionals. She also delivers lectures by invitation, drawing on her expertise as an industry practitioner. Specialising in content and marketing strategy in the creative industries, Nina brings a wealth of knowledge to her engagements.
Her article with Dr Manoli Moriaty “Recurring patterns: An ethnographic study on the adoption of AI music tools by practitioners of electroacoustic, contemporary and popular musics" for Auckland University of Technology's Special Issue: "AI, Augmentation and Art" (Journal of Pervasive Media), has been published in 2023. She recently co-designed the BA Creative Industries Business Management course at Liverpool Hope University (2024-2025 entry).
